Examining the Unavoidable Delays to EVV Implementation Webinar

States were given until November 30, 2019 to submit Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) good faith effort exemption requests to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The vast majority of states and territories have received approval and will not be subject to federal medical assistance percentage (FMAP) reductions until 2021.

In February 2020, Applied Self-Direction hosted a webinar to explore the reasons states provided CMS for encountering unavoidable delays to implementing EVV by 2020, specifically examining trends impacting multiple states.
