Beyond the Basics: Advancing High-Quality Self-Direction in a Managed Care Context

During this session, leaders from Elevance Health will share best practices for implementing self-direction in a managed care environment. In particular, they will discuss how managed care organizations (MCOs) can support self-direction by advancing data-driven insights based on acute care usage, enrollment patterns, caseload trends, and more. Effective approaches to partnerships between states, Financial Management Services (FMS) providers, stakeholders, and MCOs will also be explored. Come ready with your questions about how to help self-direction programs to flourish!

Speaker

Hollie Campbell is a Director of Medicaid Specialized Populations and Programs with Elevance Health. She worked for the State of Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, was Executive Director of a nonprofit organization supporting individuals with IDD living and working in the community, and most recently serving specialized populations in managed care for the past seven years.
