What is the Self-Direction Conference without every Financial Management Services (FMS) providers’ favorite session, The FUNdamentals of Fiscal/Employer Agent (F/EA) Forms?
Have you ever wondered why F/EAs use certain tax forms? Have you ever seen a form and thought, “this form is perfect for F/EAs, should we use it?” Well, if you haven’t, ASD’s Laura Mauldin has! During this session, Laura will provide an overview of key tax forms used in F/EA services, including when, how, and why to use certain forms. Additionally, she will review some of the most common forms mistakenly included in F/EA services. This session is perfect for FMS providers who are new to F/EA services or those who want a refresher.
The FUNdamentals of F/EA Forms session is scheduled for Thursday, April 29th from 3-4 PM (EST). Attendance is limited to the first 500 registrants, so please register here.
Laura Astor Mauldin, an FMS Analyst at Applied Self-Direction, will lead this session and discuss some of her favorite tax forms. Laura is passionate about the tax processes for F/EA operations. She has been the voice behind many of ASD’s tax and labor updates over the past year. Her tax and labor law research and operational procedures have established best practices for FMS around the country. Additionally, she has worked extensively with case managers and individuals who self-direct during program enrollment and coordinated quality assurance activities for self-direction programs.
